Fool's Day By Aetolus Robyn sat at the counter of her own Bar, it was a quiet morning, and she was having breakfast. It didn't take long before her Beau, Duncan came downstairs and joined her. "Hon," she looked up at Duncan, who was sitting beside her. "Best be on your guard today." "Why?" he looked at her, a bit confused. "Because today is..." she began, but was a cut off by a high-pitched "WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE" ss Override flew down the stairs. before he hit the outside door there was a "twang" and a suction-cup dart was stuck to both Robyn and Duncan's foreheads. "...Fools day" she finished. A little flag flopped down from the shaft of the arrows that stated "Gotcha!" "Oh," Duncan sighed. "And Override really likes this day?"
"How'd you guess?" Robyn reached up to pull the arrow from her head but when it didn't come off, she sighed. "Crazy glue..." she then shifted her shape just enough to remove the glue and the arrow came off with no problem. She clasped her hands. "He wants to go head to head with the master does he..."
"Um. Hon? Could you help me?" Duncan was trying to look at the arrow stuck to his head. *** "Pssst...... Pssst... Kea." Keahi turned slowly around, but didn't see anyone. "Override?" she asked, looking around. Nobody else was in the bar right now. "Bathroom, can you come over here for a sec? And bring the super-glue remover from behind the counter!" She stood up, looked around for the remover, then headed over and opened the men's bathroom door. Inside she could see Override standing crouched halfway inside one of the stalls. "What are you doing?" she asked. "Gimme the glue remover," He frowned waving his hand. The other one wasn't visible. "What did you do?" she asked again as she looked into the stall. "Robyn put glue on the flushes..." he frowned. Keahi couldn't help but laugh, "and why would she do that?" "I kinda got her with super-glued arrows this morning," he chuckled. Removing his hand from the toilet he stood up finally. "Thanks, I owe you one." The two reentered the main room and sat down at a table, pouring coffee to recover from the thought of living ones life in the toilet. After one swig of the freshly poured coffee Override looked up at Keahi and started giggling like a girl. "What?" she put down her cup, and stared at him. He was starting to laugh so hard he should have fallen off the chair. This would have happened except the chair was been stuck firmly to his bum. A moment later, it tipped backwards, carrying him with it. There was a scream of pain as his hot coffee cup went over with him and spilled the hot coffee over himself. Hot coffee that left a blue stain on his shirt. "OW OW OW OW!" he cried waving the cup around. "Well put the cup down you idiot!" Keahi watched him roll on the ground, chair still fixed to his bum. "Can't!" He screamed. "It's stuck! It's STUCK!!!!" rolling around he came face to face with a small pile of silver mini-drones. They seemed to grin at him, and then started swarming all over him, which caused him to scream louder and longer. "Ahh!" Robyn said from behind the counter, "I see the tickle-bots I bought from Tal found him," a small black cat jumped onto the bar. "Hey Override!" she called to the screaming mass of metal on the floor. "Happy Fools Day!" she shifted back to a lady sitting on the edge of the counter. Then she looked at Keahi and said "by the way, don't touch the pool cues today I have a few things planned for the rest," she smiled. "Oh and clean your teeth, they look very blue. I need you to help me set the rest of the night up," she gave an evil grin. |
